Edward R. Hutson was raised in Granbury, Texas, the setting that inspired his debut novel, A Quiet Kind of Evil. Dyslexic from an early age, he began writing as a personal challenge and discovered a passion for storytelling along the way.

His fiction is inspired by small-town life, childhood friendships, and the difficult choices ordinary people sometimes face. Pieces of the places, experiences, and people he grew up around often provide the starting point for his stories before being transformed into something much larger through fiction.

Edward lives in Texas with his wife and family. A Quiet Kind of Evil is his first novel, with more stories set in and around the world he created already in development.
